CHRISTIAN COWAN FALL/WINTER 2026
For Fall/Winter 2026, Christian Cowan turns away from the street and into the private interior. The bedroom, the dressing room, the moment before the entrance. Using original 1950s fabrics, antique lace trims, and traditional corsetry techniques, garments once designed to remain unseen are brought fully into view.
The collection moves fluidly across time: 1920s backless silk gowns dissolve into mid century underpinnings, while contemporary tailoring is softened by exaggerated fur.
Inspired by the fragile glamour of mid-century cinema heroins and the emotional tension of Tennessee William’s worlds, dressing is explored as a ritual. This is the intimate journey from dressing gown to departure, from vulnerability to performance. The show mirrors that transformation.
The collection exists in a charged space between the mirror and the door, where a private self coalesces into character, and dressing becomes an act of desire, control, and self-authorship.
